Title: Fully Identified with Christ

1. Water baptism is a sign of repentance 

Acts 2:38 - Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

- We are one with Christ.

- To be baptize is to be one with Him.

- It is a public announcement that he/she is publicly identified with Christ.

Titus 3:5 - he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

- Washing referring to baptism.

- Ang pagsisimula at pagpapatuloy ay parehong mahalaga.

- Covenants - we do baptism at the beginning to have a commitment.

2. 

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 - Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

3. We have passed from old to new life in baptism.

Ephesians 2:4-7 - But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

- Baptism marks and seals us that we are with Christ.

4. We are baptize in Christ if we love the brethren

1 John 3:13-14 - Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

5. In Christ, we have been given a new name for a brand new life

Revelation 3:12 - The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
