1. One of God's best gift to us believers is a shepherd who becomes God's voice whom we can follow

John 10:1-5 - v.4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

Ephesians 4:11-16 - v.13 Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

2. A shepherd leads, guides, provides, and protects

Psalm 23:1-5 - The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

The role of the pastor is to make you refresh.

1 Samuel 17:34-36 - v.34-35 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.

3. A shepherd watches over their even by night, inside and outside the flock

Luke 2:8 - And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.

Zephaniah 2:6 - The land by the sea will become pastures having wells for shepherds and pens for flocks.
